The Historic Canal Place Area is a wonderful Art & Cultural Meca... a "have to" visit....Great shops along Canal Place and in The Stone Mill across the way (it is an Inn as well) It houses the wonderful Mustard Seed, Black Box Theatre, Sal's Cafe, Multiple great Artisens & Vendors as well as the other Historic Stone Mill next door in The Shops @ 25 West & The Antique Center...
Along the Canal Place Strip...Renown Canal Side Inn ( my personal fine dining or bistro menu favorite)...the quality is by far five star (whether you dine in the Grille area with Barb the sweetest tender you can find or in the Dining room, service is impeccable... personalities more than you could ask for...James is one of the best Chefs we have ever had the honor of dining with, ( and we come from a restaurant family ) truly an experience in dining pleasure that will make the person at the next table say " I want what she's having " as well as a superb Inn to rest your head when in town visiting or if you want to plan a surprise dinner and overnight get away, or you just don't want to drive home, look no further, by far the best ! Main Street has so much to offer as well...Smoky D's BBQ .... as well as two great Pizza Houses...a new Deli...The Sandwich Shop...White Rose Bakery for you sweet tooth or Breads wishes...The Chinese Buffett....and last but not least one of our favorite meeting places...IL Cafe that makes a Breaksfast as well as my fav Paninni Primavara that will blow you away... Superb Cafe offerings including fresh baked pastries !
